Privacy & saves

Your journey stays in your browser

Updated October 26, 2026

Local saves

Choices, achievements, skills, profile slots and reading settings are stored in this browser. Exports create files on your device; imports are read locally. Clearing site data can erase progress. Profiles do not automatically sync across devices or website addresses.

Optional measurement

Google Analytics loads only after you allow measurement. It helps count visits, adventure starts and completions, reading editions, and store-link clicks. Declining does not limit reading. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep optional measurement off. Use Measurement settings to withdraw consent. We do not send your story decisions, profile slot, puzzle answers or save files to analytics. There is no advertising tracking or session recording. A shop click is not a purchase.

Hosting and links

Your browser requests pages, selected story files and, in the illustrated edition, artwork from the host. The hosting provider may process network and security logs. External websites have their own privacy practices. Payhip handles any purchases on its site; this reader does not collect payment details.

Optional narration

Narration uses your browser’s speech service. Depending on the voice and browser, that service may process story text online. Audio starts only when requested.
