The pass after closing time
Niko Aren chases the ball through Lantern Yard because it is his ball and he has promised his mother not to lose another. It stops at a woman's boot. The boot is transparent above the ankle. She flicks a perfect pass back to him and says, “You're looking at the wrong end of the player.”
