Mystery

A light under the platform

Sam first saw the train from the ferry's upper deck at midnight. Three lit windows crossed the disused river platform, then vanished behind the freight wall. The old station clock said 00:07. By morning, someone had posted that a ghost train was collecting people who never returned. Sam had spent enough nights on the river to distrust stories built from a light seen at a distance. He also knew distance was a poor excuse for ignoring missing people.
